For 5 generations Monument Tools have supported Trainees and Apprentices across the Plumbing and Heating sector, be it through the Worshipful Company of Plumbers bursary scheme or industry bodies such as BPEC, JTL, APHC, CIPHE and SNIPEF.
Monument Tools also works with groups of professional end users to ensure all the tools they develop are made to save the user time, effort and money. This allows Monument Tools to stamp all products developed with the Monument Masters, By the Trade – For the Trade.
The combination of these two approaches led to Monument Tools working in partnership with Leeds College of Building to supply their workshop and ACS assessment centre tools. The main motivation for this relationship being the joint desire of Leeds College of Building and Monument Tools to ensure all learners studying for P&H qualifications did so using the best possible quality tools. The fact that Monument Tools manufacture over 80% of the tools they supply in the UK was also a major deciding factor.
In July 2017 Monument Tools entered into a 5-year partnership with Leeds College of Building which includes the supply of tools for the workshop and ACS assessment centres, as well as product training sessions with the learners and an annual award fund for their “Apprentice of The Year”.
Leeds College of building is also the home for the Monument Masters – North focus group, with several of its members having studied within LCB and two of whom have their own Apprentices in study there as we write this vlog in August 2019. In fact, one of the lecturers at LCB is the former “Gaffer” of a Monument Master so we have three generations of engineers all of whom are connected to Leeds College of Building.
